Now, for all your perverts curious kitties out there who wanted to know more about the origin of jockstraps, read on!

The term may be derived either from the slang use of the word “jock”, meaning [dude appendage], or a shortening of the term “jockey strap”, a similar garment worn by bicycle jockeys (riders) in the US from the mid 1870s, initially while navigating the cobbled (and therefore bumpy) streets of Boston.
