Hi, guys! Just a little note today to let you know about my upcoming sewing workshop! Jennifer from Workroom Social invited me to teach a special class about sewing jersey skirts at her one-weekend-only Manhattan pop-up studio! Fun, right?
The class is on Saturday, May 3rd from 3P-5P. The early bird price is $85, which includes your pattern. You can make a mini or a maxi skirt, and we’ll send you a shopping list ahead of time so you can pick the fabric of your dreams! If you’ve been lurking my blog for a while thinking, “Hmm, can I do this??” (or if you’re One Who Fears Knits) this is your chance to get in there and sew with some in-person support. Details and tickets here!
Jennifer’s also planned a Sewing Swap Meet & Party for Saturday, May 3rd from 8P-10P. Come meet, mingle, and sip with sewing and fabric fanatics! Bring fabric, sewing patterns, notions, or other sewing items to swap, and come away with some new booty and new friends. Refreshments provided! Sign up here! Hope to see you guys there!
Oh, how fun, you will be a great teacher and this just sounds so fun!

You know I would if I could.
Snitch you all up in a private jet and have you stay at a beach front loft with a creative studio on bottom floor with bar and top floor crash pads.

Oh my goodness! I am so excited that I will be in NYC for 24 hrs during that weekend. I would love to participate in the swap if I can squeeze it in — will be taking the train in from Philly around 7 and have dinner reservations at 9:45 at Per Se. Perhaps you can help me work out the logistics of locations?
Thanks!

That’s definitely doable! You come in at 7PM? You should have plenty of time to make it to the East Village by 8P, and you could have an hour and a little change there before you’d need to head uptown for dinner. 🙂
